reinstall windowxp?

Question

when i start my computer when main windows appears some times it shut down automatically.and some times it hangs up and then shut down.i try to reinstall window "it configures every thing. but when installation starts it stops with error it syas "it is a fatal error.and says this file cannot be installed.i tried with another cd but same problem.what u think problem is in cd or in hard disk ,please help me how can i solve this problem and reinstall window or is there any site from where i can download win xp .because stores r closed tomorrow i need to install urgently help me thanks

can i recover it.because when installation starts it delete every thing. installation stops in middle because of error,i don't know i fix it or not .and if not how can i fornat harddrive for new installation thanks

Before you format, which will erase everything and put you back to Square 1, why not try a fix:

it deepens if u just want to get your computer running or if u need stuff off of it. if u just need to get it running then put the xp disk in an let it boot go though the steps and delete the partitions and there u go just install from there. now if u need stuff off of it then u need to bring it to someone who know what there doing. like me

you need the windows disk, put it in, turn on pc, choose format, this will wipe your drive, then it will ask if you wish to install.

this isn't a hard drive problem.

try reformatting before reinstalling.. remember that you will lose all data.
