Egypt had the first Medical School from what I've been reading. There was a lot of talk and observation about Ra and the other Egyptian austerities but even so they made mummies and knew their way around the table so to speak.

I've heard Tigris Euphrates had some at or about the same time and even China but then everybody's a Doctor there.
