Sure, depending on what else you're trying to run at the same time. A 30 amp service equals 3600 Watts. The electric skillet draws 12.5 amps. The big problem comes in the summer if you're trying to run the AC. The AC pulls 20 amps, so it would have to be off while using the skillet.
