The best darn fudge you ever had.

21/4 C.sugar 1 C. evaporated milk
1stick of butter 1- 12 oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips 3T. vanilla.
1 C. chopped nuts optional

In a large pan combine sugar and milk. Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 10 min stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add butter, chips and vanilla. Stir until until smooth.
Add nuts if desired. Pour into 8X8pan. refrigerate until set. Best overnight .

I put wax paper in the pan and then invert the pan onto a cutting board. Cut into 1" pieces

Use is for creamer in your coffee. Long before half and half,
evaporated milk was used in coffee. Or add it to a receipe for pudding, gravey, or a cream sauce. Or toss it - rarely cheap item and does not store well for a long period of time.

It's great in coffee. It's thick like half-and-half, but only has 2 grams of fat, 3 grams of sugar and 30 grams of sodium, which makes it healthier than 2% milk. I use it all the time now.
