Well, they do have a good point, humans do need water to live, and other planets don't have any people.

Some brilliant people, past and present, are/were Christians. While I am far from brilliant, I consider myself above average intelligence and am well read/educated.
Try not to pass judgement on an entire group because of the answer given to you by one person. You're smarter than that, aren't you? ... Blessings!

I think it really depends on the religion. Certain ones tend to dumb down people and close their minds to every thing else around them--education, other people, other world views, etc.

As per christianity, In 1664 s in a Bishops meeting Irland bishop Usher along with his fellow bishops unonimusly decided , "as per bible universe came into existance at 9:00am on october 23 rd 4004 B.C." - just 6000 years back?
Christianity is completely different from Jesus. Jesus is God.
Jesus did not establish any religion> He is a social reformer like all Hindu Gods> But Christianity is a power hungry group dipped in the mud of religious conversions> Jesus is a man of great ideas .But christianity says by praying Jesus only you will reach heaven> Jesus is not such a narrow minded power hungry street goonda to say “you should pray me otherwise you will go to hell”.
> God is one who can think broadly . As per God whatever be your belief whoever god you pray , as long as you do good you will be blessed. God is not a roadside street goonda to expect prayers to HIM only>
Letus maintain the greatness of jesus by accepting Multiple number of Gods sentiment, through which social harmony and secularism can be established>
God is not such a bad eliment to say it> If God says it , he is not a god it is a DEVIL

No stereotyping people and presuming that all of a group are the same without knowing them makes one dumb.

hahah... I'm not sure that answer has anything to do with religion.
But I think religion constricts peoples views about a lot of things and many people take it to such an extreme that they seem very stupid.
