That they like to do what they want. It's their wedding and they should do as they please. If that's you, then go for it if that's what you really want.

Before Queen Victoria everyone wore black for their wedding. It was only that Queen Victoria wanted to wear white that she then made a law that all brides must wear white. Black will be very vintage which is in at the moment.

Go for it. It's your wedding. My best friend wore blood red velvet with a red, black and silver theme. Wish I had had the courage to wear what I wanted and not the big white fufu dress that reminds me of the toilet roll holder in my aunts lav!

I love it when people just wear what they like. I'm going to wear brownish-maroon :D
I wouldn't think it would terribly morbid at all, it's just a color. I personally would prefer to wear black any day over white!

wedding dresses are white to represent purity any holyness and stuff (after all weddings are a religious thing)
black might be a little rebellious and sad (funeral wear)

well my cousin got married and black and she isent the best person, she steals drinks, does drugs... you name it. i if went to her wedding i would have worn black cause i was in mourning.
