if you have a warrant out for your arrest and you are found in a different state and they arrest you and take you to jail, what happens? will you stay in that jail or will they make you go to the jail in the town the crime was commited? and how long can you be in jail for (least to most)?

The first thing would be an extradition hearing. You have two choices, you could waive extradition and get it over with, or you could contest the extradition and they would have a hearing.

The process could take a while, and you probably won't get credit for the time you serve in the other state.

1) is the warrant a felony or a misdemeanor?
2) what state to what state distance?(ie washington state and california or alabama and nevada?)

if the offense is a misdmeanor they will not extradite. they will allow you to post a bail.

if the crime is a felony and serious then they will hold you for extradition.

felony extradition has about 90 days they can hold before pick up? if they do not come to get you must be released.
