This was actually Fyre's idea to link to her, but give out of free-will not out of compulsion, feel free to comment as well, just remember the time of year, and peoples feelings are escalated due to the stress of the holiday's. allright?

Fyre: Congradulations on "Top Contributer"

Fyre: As to your Brother's theory on all Homeless, I believe there to be exceptions to the rule, and that when you try to correlate certain behaviors with a demographic, then though it may be true in a percentage of the case, making a case that it is true all the time. What of the successful 'Homeless' people who've gone on and thrived in Corporate-America? I've heard of such success stories, though no 'Names' jump at me right away. How about you, "Do you think, your brother was right?"

Darn, the censors already deleted that question but, yes, I do believe in giving out of free-will.

If we all could truly treat each other as our brothers and sisters then the world would be a better place. Let me share a story with you for Christmas:

Several years ago, my brother and I were walking across a parking lot when a homeless man came up begging. I gave him a couple of dollars and he went on his way.

My brother chewed me out and said the "bum" was going to use the money for booze. He said that I should only give my money to reputable charities. He said the charities would make sure the poor get food, shelter, etc.

I told my brother "If YOU asked me for money, I'd give it to you with no questions ask. I wouldn't withhold it because you were going to spend it on booze or whatever because I love you and you're my brother and I'd assume that if you felt that you need to 'self medicate' then it was to ease your pain. How do we know what that man is feeling or needing?"

My brother said that giving the man money for alcohol was equivalent to giving him a loaded gun so he could shoot himself. He believes alcoholics are committing a slow form of suicide.

I said that you never know. Maybe he'd use it for booze, maybe he'd use it for food but the important thing was that he saw that there are some kind people still on this Earth.

Who was right? My brother or me? Who knows. We must all follow our own consciences. Happy holidays to all of you!

EDIT: Maybe the censors didn't delete the other question but there was a defect in the link because, when I tried reaching the question through my profile instead of the link provided, I got there. Let's try that link again...
