It's my music collection that a friend is asking for and it's about 30 GB of music.

I think it's a tad rude. I mean, I'm sure you didn't obtain the collection over night, so why should your friend? I would find this rude, especially if I paid for the music. If you got it for free, I guess that changes the rules. I'm all about sharing music. I exchange CDs with family and friends all the time and my bf has sent me a lot of his music, but not his entire collection. That's a bit much to ask for, unless you're offering to do it.

Bottom line, if you aren't comfortable with it, than skip it. Maybe suggest sharing specific albums or something. It's your collection so do whatever seems to make sense!

I am assuming you mean as in file sharing? It's not rude I guess - but be nice about it like "I understand if it's too much trouble." If you are wanting it sent to you over the internet, don't ask if you know the person has a slow connection because that will take forever. If you want it in hard copy, make sure you supply the cds or flash drive or whatever you want to put it on. It would be easiest if at least one of you has a laptop and a USB cable. If you just mean what's stored on their IPOD then that's no trouble it all but they still might feel like you should be buying your own music if they had to pay for theirs.

Do you have other copies of your music? Well if so, it is Christmas, and I would wrap it up and give your music to your friend for a Christmas present!!!
Great idea, huh?
I've done it before, and my friend was so happy!!!

It's up to you to decide what you feel right about doing. If it's a moocher who won't look at you tomorrow after you've given them your music, you may feel violated and used.

Then again if you've done someone a huge favour that's not a bad person, you might feel like a good samaritan.

How are they gonna give you their entire music collection? It's not rude, cause it really sounds like a joke.

Yes, it's rude. What makes them think they deserve it? Unless they are your most loved person and if you are dying, I don't see any reason why they should ask for it.

No. I wouldn't mind if someone asked me.
