1) I consider myself both. (At first, I said lady, but then, looking back at my definitions, I realized I was incomplete. One cannot be a lady without being a woman first!) I am female and am an adult so I am a woman. I see myself as polite and kind, so I am also a lady.
2) My personal definition of a woman is a human being with two X chromosomes who is over the age of 18 years--an adult female. My personal definition of a lady is a female (not necessarily an adult) who is kind, polite and thoughtful of others.
3) Yes, there is a difference between a woman and a lady. Being a woman is a physical reality. Being a lady is a choice.

I consider myself a lady.. I think anyone can be a woman based on their gender and sex.. but being a lady means truly being a class act with etiquette and poise.
My definition of a woman is just that- a person who is over the age of 18 who has female genetilia and organs.. and a lady is charming, polite, classy, and poised.
There is a difference to me

Very good and interesting question.
1) Both
2) A woman is gender. A lady is a woman that has class, poise, dignity and is self-respecting.
3) Yes. All females are women. Only some of us are ladies.

I consider myself both a woman and a lady.
I am a woman because I was born that way. If I had a penis, I'd be a man. As a woman, my skin is softer, I can bear children, I have to see a gynecologist and I get paid less than a man (usually).
I'm also a lady because that is the way men with good education = gentlemen) will see me. They will open doors for me and be respectful.
Being a lady is about the way you act and the way people react to you. Being a woman is just about who you are.
Sometimes, I can swear and say bad words, then, at those moments, I'm not a lady, just a person who will not tolerate your sh**t!
But I like to be treated as a lady by complete strangers who will go out of their way to make me feel like a lady, just because it make them feel like gentlemen (has nothing to do with hair, make-up or clothing...just manners).
Some women do not like being treated as a lady, thinking "I'm tough and I can open my own door!", but I think once you get over that, you can enjoy politeness and just see the intention of the man treating you that way...he just wants to show respect and be thought as a gentleman, and you should be grateful for that.
Edit: I'm self-sufficient, I usually do not wear make-up and high heel, but still, I like to be treated as a lady.

i would consider myself a lady, any female can be a woman, but the way that you present yourself determines whether you are a lady or not. a lady lady is proper and delicate and a woman is just an adult female.

1) a woman and a lady...
2)woman- a female in general
Lady- lady-like female, that is to say self composed, confident, respectful... to be spoken of as a young lady would mean to say that your're a respectable person and you respect yourself. you dont act as a child and act unruly, rude, or distructive...but that is all to say in the context of it's usage....may have other connotations.
3)Definitions clarify that last question...

woman... or even just a girl... I'm 20
the difference between a woman and a girl is who is looking at you and comparing life expereince. I could be considered a girl from my 80 year old grandma, but a woman compared to my 13 year old sister
I think "lady" means to be proper and is someone who is extremely well mannered; which I can be in certain settings, but I am not everyday

A lady is a woman, but it's not necessarily the other way around.
To me, "lady" implies being classy.
Being a "woman" implies having a vagina.

I'm a woman. A woman is self-sufficient, a lady just uses her looks to get people to do things for her. I'd rather be strong and independent
