Is this your Christmas sermon? By the way the word is spelled ENDEAVOR. Actually, I hate to use the word God because of the "smallness" of the word in its many earthly interpretations. The intelligence behind this creation is so great, it is something that cannot be named. Since you are the created and you are a product of that which creates, the limitations of human language are inadequate to describe
" the force," you don't know how I wish people would stop trying to interpret that which cannot be interpreted.

So why did God make humans able to sin? The way Genesis puts it, makes it sound like God made a mistake. Like it wasn't his intention to have Eve eat from the tree of knowledge. Can God make mistakes?

Let me ask you something else. If you have never seen God, how do you know he created everything? How do you know he didn't? Can you simply say that about everything? And how long will you do that until you're bored?

I have my own possibly unique spirituality akin to deism, though not exactly the same (but pretty close).

I believe in Darwinism, I believe in the big bang. I believe that God created the universe via the big bang. And we as mere mortal will never and can never truly understand the mind of GOD.
It is as if GOD snapped his fingers (if GOD has fingers?) and "wha la" everything was set in motion, every possibility, every potential was known at that moment of creation.

You could say I believe in creation and evolution at the same time because as a deist I do not believe that GOD has altered or intervened since that one moment.

But I do not believe in "creationism" as laid out in the bible, nor intelligent design (which is a farce as far as I'm concerned).

I also do not believe that a single piece of scripture is anything more than words written by man. I've read many, from many faiths. What I see is one basic similarity -

BE A GOOD AND DECENT PERSON

I wish we could all get past the semantics and stop fighting over the finer points.

Gnostic's believed that the "creator" god went against the true god [of light] trapping the souls of man within earthly forms, til Jesus came and showed mankind their inherent divinity of sorts, and set them free (or at least tried to).
Angels come from Zoroastrianism, which used to be the state religion of Persia and Monotheistic. Named after Zoroaster (a Greek alteration of Zarathustra) a prophet of the 11th/10th century BC (hard to nail down the exact date) who told of the battle of light against dark, spoke of angels and demons.

I bring those up because all of this is in many ways is like myth, if not exactly that. One can see the parallels and see how one religion builds upon another, over time incorporating pieces and beliefs. Many the most pious are seldom unaware of the past connections.

Many faiths abhor those that quest for answers, believing that faith is all you need. In essence "shut up and listen, listen and believe".

I am one that can not and will not do that, I have searched for my own spirituality for more than half my life - from protestant to atheist to agnostic to deist.

That's all,
Thanks and Happy Holidays!

I believe in The Lord. The real question for me is that who created god. something or someone must have created him. And then who created the guy who created the lord . it can go on FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just imagine what lies beyond what we know . i dont think not a human or anything living on earth will find out how life happened or started or created. life is great. live every day like it is your last.

I don't belive that God had created everything.

I belive that there were earthquakes and etc
and it created mountains and hills. birds
brought seeds from around the world, the seeds
grew into trees and there were plants. i believe
that God just happened to come along in the
middle of all that. I don't think He created anything.
Maybe some things, but not all.

God never create anything for no reason. everything has a purpose to be created. Do you enjoy having a toy, or animals. Maybe god enjoys watching us blessing him and fighting over who God realy is?

The Bible god was created by a larger God, and he in turn was created by a still larger GOD, and so on.

I've traced it back fourteen GODS, and then it becomes rather murky. It's called the 'deitieous succession', and it is very holy.

that's exactly it i dont know how or why the everything exists and I'm OK with that. and just saying god created everything is a lot easyer then understanding how everything in the universe actually works. i believe seeing and understanding something is believing.

I believe that the elements that make up the universe, when the come together in the proper sequence make life. Some po pa this because of "chance" but when you have billions and billions of stars, and billions and billions of years. anything came happen.

God made too many mistakes then. Too many.

Thank you God for AIDS and Alzheimer's and the myriad of disease. Oh, and wars and pestilence. Don't forget murder and fear and hunger.

Is it really an achievement?
