Is using Tarot cards,Angel reading cards or fairy reading cards(explained inside) a SIN in any religion?

Angel reading and fairy reading is like using to tell if you will have good fortune or stuff like that.Now tarot cards are another story because for chrismas I will get money and I will go on a mini shopping spree and I plan to get tons of books and it just so happens that I saw books containing and explaining tarot cards ect and I found an intrest to it but I heard it was somewhat demonic and my mom might get mad if I buy it

I don't take anything a tarot card would tell me seriously I just wanted it cause it seemed fun.

Evil is a state of mind, not often found in packs of laminated peices of paper, but rather in peoples irrational beliefs.

Tarot etc are wonderful for self development, guidance & psychic development. If you feel drawn to them, buy some & see where it takes you.

This is a great question and Pam R. has a good answer. Tarot cards are just pieces of cardboard. Likewise, a song is just a series of sounds - and dancing is a series of movements - yet there are religions that consider certain forms of music to be sinful. If you dig a little into religions, you will find that almost anything is considered a sin in someone's religion.

However, could your Mom get mad if you buy a deck? Possibly. If your question really is how to deal with your Mom, I would suggest you simply bring the subject up in some casual way - like saying you saw an ad on the Internet for Tarot Readings and thought you would like to buy a deck. If she hits the religious roof, you at least know where she stands.

A few months ago, I had a lady call me and ask if I would do a reading for her son as a birthday present. She brought him to our house and he didn't know why he was there! What a surprise! Both my wife and I gave him readings. Both his parents were there. I've only had a handful of parents do something like that, but I've always been impressed by the ones that do. They aren't always the ones with extra cash, but they seem to respect their children interest's. My guess is that they would rather know what you are doing rather than say "NO" and then you sneak off and do it anyway.

I'm a CHRISTIAN Wiccan Witch. They say that tarot cards are a tool of the devil. But they also say that Witches will kill whoever gets in there way, and if you don't die then you're cursed for life. Also that Witches do love spells, and voodooism...I'm sorry, am I getting off topic? (feel the sarcasim)

I think that tarot cards are harmless, but if you do use them in a bad way, then you could have a minor thing of bad luck. We have the 3 Fold Law that says if you do something bad, and use magick to do it then your punishment is having the same thing happen to you 3 times as hard.
I use Wiccan Runes, Tarot Cards, and even readings like Tarot Cards but with a normal deck instead.

When me and my best friend saw eachother (It's been over 2 years) we exchanged gifts. She got me a Tarot Card Deck from Boarders. I use it every week, and also do readings for other people that need it. If not, I use my Runes that I got last year on my Birthday.

So no, I wouldn't say that they're evil. Also, don't test to make sure that they will give you bad luck by using them in a bad way.

There is nothing demonic about any type of cards.
Evil comes from within a person.
Tarot and other kinds of divination cards are good tools for self discovery and growth as well as bringing to light options that where once overlooked.

Yes it is a sin of superstition. For Christians, God is the source of our "good fortune", otherwise known as blessings.
