If she really loves you she will understand. But in the future you need to understand she may want you to sit by and wait on her to do something (are you willing to)

If medical school is what you want to do, then you have to do it. You can't not go for her because you'll regret it later and then resent her for it. That wouldn't be good for either of you. Talk it over with her and see what she says. You might both decide to see other people while you're away and then when you graduate, see where things are then. If it's meant to be, it will be. However, please let her make the decision on whether to wait or not. Unless you want to see other people or break up or whatever, let it be her decision. I say that because I was in a similar situation once, but I wasn't given the decision to make and I would've chosen to stay together. You should just tell her the truth, that you'll be busy and won't be able to see her often for the next ??? years and you love her and want to be with her, but you understand if she can't wait any longer, etc. Then, let it be her decision to make.

If she loves you that much, then it's her decision.
Ask if you guys can move into an apartment so you guys can still be together while you go off to med school
But I think you should really sit down with her and ask how she's feeling about this long distance relationship and tell her that you love her and want to keep her best interest at heart and hear what she tells you
I'm glad that you show much concern for her :D And most guys should be like you
You aren't being selfish at all

If I had the chance to go to Med school, I would go. She will understand. My boyfriend he is leaving to go to College in Indiana and he is leaving me in South Carolina. She has been with you for a long time, and Im sure she is still loves you, if she has waited this long im sure she can wait one more year.

If she loves you, she will wait. It's not like you're off screwing around, you're making a very important decision and doing very important things to further your career. It's not selfish of you at all. She loves you, so she's supporting you through this. You may want to talk to her and see if that is what she really wants though.
