Hi there,
Are you speaking about what many young girls do - where they stand in front of a mirror in a darkened room with candles and chant "Bloody Mary" a few times?
Well ... my understanding is that when you do that you are supposedly summoning a ghost or a witch... but you are actually calling on what the Bible calls a familiar spirit. It is something I have never done myself but I have friends who have dabbled in the occult, in fact, one woman I know very well used to be a spiritualist medium ... and the one thing I see from all of their lives is that the occult is real. Occult is simply something that is secret. I actually know someone who even today is too scared to look in a mirror because of her bad experience 'playing' Bloody Mary.
The question you need to ask yourself is not "is it real?" but rather ... "is this of God or of the Devil?" Do you really want to open yourself up to demonic forces by opening doors to them in your life?
If you would like to email me please feel free to. If I can help in any way I will.
God bless you!

No, neither are Freddy Krueger, the Candy Man and all of those other creeps
Bloody Mary is an urban legend that came from the death of Queen Mary . People believe that her spirit still exists and she appears in mirrors in the dark, she is out to get revenge.
Okay, so don't lose anymore sleep and no need to sleep with your blankets over your head or anything like that.

The good Queen Mary? Yea, she did exist - she was the daughter of Henry VIII and his lawful Queen, Catherine of Aragon. Her half sister, the b@stard Elisabeth, was much more bloody than poor Mary ever was.

You mean the one who walks the Bloody Tower with her head held underneath her arm or do you mean the American Ghost story?
Ehther way no, they are just ghost stories meant to excite the imaginations of superstitious people.
