Once again it depends on what you need, want and what you can afford! The new Taurus is more expensive, upscale, replacing the previous Ford Five Hundred but with a better more powerful engine. The Fusion is in the class of Camry, Accord Malibu, ect... Always go for test drives to. If your not brand loyalty check out others like GMs and Dodges, they might have better warranties and may even give you a better deal if you tell them your considering another make. Fords are getting better, they're number one in initial quality now over toyota! At least for now. The haters will tell you otherwise, my advice is not listen to the haters and just get the car you have most fun driving! The key word there is Fun! Good luck!

Fusion: This car is meant to be a direct threat to the Toyota Camry. It handles well, but the engine is rather weak. The interior is average for the class. I think they did a great job with the exterior though. This car can be had as FWD or AWD. It is a little less expensive than the Taurus.
Taurus: This is a larger car than the Fusion. It has a more powerful engine so it's quicker, but the suspension is tuned to be a little less sporty. The styling on this car is a little iffy, but the interior is nicer than that of the Fusion. It could be said the Taurus is better suited for moving 5 people quickly than a Fusion, being bigger and quicker.
It's really up to you which car is better to buy. I suggest you look at the new Chevrolet Malibu, Saturn Aura, and Honda Accord. Each of those competes with the Ford models discussed. It's tricky because in many ways the Fusion and Taurus actually compete with eachother, targeting a very similar demographic.
Hope this was helpful.

Ask the dealer to quote you some prices on things like Heater Core and Oil Pan Gasket on both models.
Most Ford models are so poorly engineered that the entire engine has to be pulled to replace an oil pan gasket and the entire dashboard removed to replace the heater core.
If Ford has made any respectable changes on the newer models then I'd pick the one that has to lowest labor hours to perform specific repairs. You might Google the models and read a lot of customer comments to see if there are other chronic problems and save yourself becoming their next victim.
Good Luck!

Well since you already own a bike why do you need a car?
Make a list of you want in a car then go on Google and check each brand out. See which one comes closest to meeting all your desires then go buy it.
Each model good. One is never better than the other one. Each have their plus and minus differences.
Keep It Simple Sam (KISS).

The Fusion is sportier, gets better gas mileage, and looks more aggressive, while the Taurus is a more spacious car, has better safety ratings, and has a smoother and quieter ride.

The Taurus appears to be a more upscale car. I think it's the successor to the failed '500' product. You get nicer amenities and a better engine.
Both are good cars. I've ended up with both while renting, and I've been satisfied with each one. I think you'd be happy either way, so it might be a good idea to try them out.

After seeing the crash test videos from the Ford Focus, I'm going to recommend you consider another company.
