i am trying to find the outdoor blue and white icicle christmas lights... we have been seeing them around everywhere for the last month but have not been able to find them in stores! we've checked target, wal-mart, home depot, and no one seems to know what we're talking about. they are not the typical icicle lights (the ones that just look like pieces of light string hanging)..these have an actual pointed piece of plastic at the bottom, and the whole thing flashes blue and white... please help!!!!!!

I haven't seen those type of lights but then again, most people in my area like to use all-white icicle lights. What I would suggest is that you start checking places like Big Lots, Dollar Tree, and the like. They tend to have a lot of slightly unusual types of Christmas decorations. I once found a strand of multicolored lights inside plastic icicle covers. You might also try arts and crafts stores like Michaels. I have found an amazing selection of Christmas lights at these places. I would stay away from Wal-Mart, Kmart, Lowe's, or Home Depot. That's because they all tend to sell the exact same types of lights. Another slightly unusual place to check are bookstores. They often sell decorative strands of lights. Good luck.

One idea--if you really want the information and you see those things, knock on the door, tell them you realize it's a crazy question but ask them where they got the lights. I've seen the type you're talking about but they were only in our local wal-mart for about a month right after Thanksgiving. I'd still bet on simply asking a person that has them. Takes some bravery but will get the information you need. Good luck.

They are available at merchantoverstock.com for about $30. Search for LED blue & white icicle lights. I bought some at Target on sale, but they were broken and have not been able to find any since. They are beautiful lights and you might have to pay full price, at least this year.
