When i turn the selector switch to any wheel drive mode nothing happens. What should i be checking and how much would it cost to get fixed?

Won't do anything i turn the switch to 4hi nothing. turn to 4lo and nothing. i have had my truck for 4 years and i know how to use the 4 wheel drive.

Sounds like the 4WD actuator switch is bad. I'm not sure how much it is so you will have to call your local Ford dealer.

Good God!!! Amazing how much weaker we are with our "new and improved" technology.
Star date 100797.9. Captain James T. Kirk. We are having a problem with our warp drive engines. We turned the selector switch to "Warp Drive" and nothing happened. We are waiting to rendevous with the USS Intrepid to be towed to Star Base Alpha for repairs. We should be underway again in six weeks.
In the good old days you just jammed that baby into 4WD with a big yank or push with the #2 shifter on the floor.

Well it go into 4HI and not 4Low? Or it wont go in 4WD at all? You should be able to put it into 4HI anytime, but to put it in 4Low you much be at a complete stop, truck must me in neutral and your foot must be on the brake. If it still doesnt work then its either a fuse of actuator.
