@Pivot King: Most viruses don't display ads. Malware, Spyware and Adware applications do.

Download, install and use Spybot S&D 1.5.1. Spybot is world famous for working and fixing that kind of stuff. If that doesn't work (which is unlikely depending on your description), get a trial version of McAfee.

You can never have enoughf protection. Install pop up stoper free edition. Use Mcafee or Norton anti virus. Instal spybot too. These will all help. Unfortunetly on the net some get through but this will eliminate alot. It will do you good to do a scan one a week with spybot or the anti virus software mentioned above too.

go to www.download.com and download spybot or adaware.
install and update. reboot in safe mode and do a system scan with the spybot (or adaware).
also make sure you have an anitvirus software installed. you can get a free antivirus such as avg or avast on www.download.com

That happened when I installed the yahoo browser. It went away eventually and I did nothing. Then I got Yahoo's security stuff

YOU'VE GOT VIRUSES!
I had this problem just before my computer got screwed. SCAN IT SCAN IT SCAN IT!
If you don't have software, get AVG free or bring it in somewhere FAST!

sounds like spyware, get a good scanner update it, and run that and avg updated in safe mode.
