Most of Christianity is "inspired" by pagan customs, yes. The story of Christ was twisted to fit the OT prophesies and you got Christianity. It's so entrenched that it won't matter to any Christian the true history.

Look at L's response - it is SO common. "You're not a Christian because you want to be free to do whatever you want!" type argument. No, I take responsibility for my actions and don't blame anything on a deity - good luck or bad. Being a pagan or atheist doesn't mean you are without morals and ethics - just means we don't live in fear of eteranl damnation to keep us in line.

It isn't just the customs that are pagan, the whole charade is pagan lmao.... The church didn't take on a few pagan aspects to draw the pagans into the church. Constantine brought the pagan priests together and called them the Council of Nicaea, and they created the Jesus Christ myth and the new testament to unite the roman empire at the time under one sun solar god.

This is true, Christmas was a pagan holiday back in 15 and 1600. It wasn't until the early 1700 the church tried to make it a religious holiday.

I honestly can't say that being a Christian is "fun." Try picking up your cross and following Jesus. The future benefits are awesome, but following HIm can be tough. Only the very faithful will win the race.

My friend, you are judging a hospital by its patients. What's important is not what we Christians do, but what Jesus Christ has done--and is still doing! By His life He brought the Kingdom of God to us; by His death and resurrection He gave us everlasting life and made us able to receive the Spirit of God within ourselves.

God bless you. Merry Christmas!

When it comes right down to it, the only reason why you choose not to believe is that you know if you did, you would have to change your life style in some way.
You don’t like the idea of handing over your life to someone else whose going to tell you what you can and can not do.
Bottom line is you want to run your life as you see fit.
Well fine, go ahead and be your own boss; sooner or later you’re going to get sick and tired of constantly getting yourself into one mess after another. When you’ve finally had enough of yourself, Jesus will be there to help you pick up the pieces of your broken shattered life and give you the joyful, peaceful life you could have had all along.

i agree. there is no Christ in christmas. they even shortened the name to xmas totally taking Christ of the holiday that is supposed to be in his honor. the chritmas tree, mistletoe, wreath, gift giving are all pagan customs used to disguise the winter solstice celebration with christianity.
the pilgrims did not celebrate xmas and england banned it until the late 1800s.
now xmas is so commercial and full of revelries, that Christ is no longer the focal point. true christians have nothing to do with this pagan holiday.
