It's not that hard to understand.

Self-replicators exist and occasionally make "mistakes" in replicating themselves called mutations. Usually mutations are harmful but sometimes they can benefit an organism.

Organisms best fit for their environment have a higher chance of surviving and passing along their DNA to the next generation.

So why are people still listening to these Kent Hovind types who think that Evolution = Humans coming from rocks?

Good luck.

Until he went to prison, I constantly monitored Hovind's site.

I still monitor the other creationist sites and the posts you see here are taken from those sites. The science-fearers are never going to examine the evidence, but instead stick with perceived flaws conjured up by liars like Ken Ham, Duane Gish, Carl Baugh and the Morris family.

I don't think they want to understand it. They want the Bible version to be true and can't hear the rest.

If they ask, I explain details of the theory patiently over and over again, but I'm starting to think even that is a waste of time, because those who ask don't really want to know and when you tell them, they'll tell you that's just what you believe.

You'd need to really get back to the basics of scientific education for evolution to be widely accepted. The minimal conditions of empirical science, the process of theoretical falsification, the concept of peer review, basic formal logic, that sort of thing. Most of the creationist folks are simply not equipped to understand what you're talking about. And since the idea that education is more than mere instruction is mostly foreign in America, it's not likely to change anytime soon.

evolution = mutations + natural selection is true, but no one on this earth can still tell rather God had created human and the universe.

They never really learned the theory properly (if at all), and their ignorance causes them to have no desire to learn it.

If you don't want to learn something, you won't.

If all creationists properly understood evolution, there wouldn't be very many at all.

They will never understand what they are taught to ignore and fear. That is why they don't understand others as much as themselves, yet somehow get around to justifying their behaviors anyway.
