just because I believe in Jebus, but if I'm not a believer, I have to live with them for eternity?

Isn't this just a cop out that a lot of xtians use to justify their immoral behavior?

Linda J, if I wanted to join a Sun worshipping, Zodiac based, magic mushroom related fertility cult, I'd start my own lol. I bet I know more about your religion and its origins than you do. I'm a former christian, more like a recovering christian, kind of like a recovering alcoholic. lmao

Try and sin first.
You may find that more difficult than becoming a believer.

It's hard to take you seriously when you use terms like 'Jebus' and 'xtians.'

If you know much about Christianity, you know that its writings were all authored by people who had an agenda of spreading a religion. So the writings must be taken with a grain of salt unless you find true value in them.

Regarding sins and forgiveness--If you are genuinely remorseful for what wrongs you've done, are willing to make amends, and those you have wronged are willing to forgive you, I'd think that should be enough.

And, no--Merely being Christian and receiving forgiveness from a pastor does not give you license to go out and do the exact same thing, as if you had been given a clean slate. No kind of forgiveness works like that, and you know it.

Yes, the Bible says you can only receive salvation through Jesus Christ, but as I said above--consider the source. Consider that all paths lead to the same light.

When it comes right down to it, the only reason why you choose not to believe is that you know if you did, you would have to change your life style in some way.
You don’t like the idea of handing over your life to someone else whose going to tell you what you can and can not do.
Bottom line is you want to run your life as you see fit.
Well fine, go ahead and be your own boss; sooner or later you’re going to get sick and tired of constantly getting yourself into one mess after another. When you’ve finally had enough of yourself, Jesus will be there to help you pick up the pieces of your broken shattered life and give you the joyful, peaceful life you could have had all along.

In your comment to me, you made an interesting statement.
You said that you know more about my "religion...", and I'll bet you're right, however do, or did, you ever KNOW JESUS?!
Bet you didn't.
But I do; and until you ever make that distinction clear, Christianity will never be anything more to you than just another religion.

Thats what they think. This is why you see so many people in Prison and on Death Row converting. They think that believing in Jesus makes everything they did before - from murder to pedophillia and beyond - fine and dandy.

And yeah, it is a cop out. Doesn't it seem like whenever you get cut off on the highway, the car in front of you has one of those little fish on the back of it? Very few Christians emulate Christ these days, and quite a few think their religion is an excuse for being bigots and morons.

Don't U know U're ALL GOD's ? Conscience of incest or stealing or lieing is GOD

Romans 8:3). In the new covenant God promises to put His laws into the mind and write them on the heart
“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”- Luke 2:16-20

yes and no. People who claim to follow Christ who still live in sin are liars. The Bible tells us that. There are going to be, and are, many false converts, who use the blood of Christ as an excuse to sin. But Jesus made it very clear unless you REPENT you will likewise perish (hell). So yes it's a cop out, but they are not true believers in Jesus Christ, and God will separate the wheat from the chaff on the Day of Judgment, (true and false converts) and hell will be for those who have not repented yet. God only forgives you if you repent and trust in Jesus Christ to save you. Many say "I'm a Christian", but don't show it, and still live in sin. It is they who lie

yes all your sins
before and each day you live
only don't die in your sin in unforgiveness
Jesus, not jebus who ever that is
non believer, lives in his sins and does not care
only the born again cares
no cop out
no sin will enter Heaven or where God is
he is Holy and only the Holy go into his City
so we die daily to sins and the flesh
we love it
do you?

Thats where the fundies have the advantage over the rest of us! see....to be a true human with a real heart, you need to forgive yourself! thats the hard part, once you do that you can be pure and true - forget asking forgiveness so you can go to heaven instead of hell ...forgive yourself and live again and again!

As long as you forgive yourself, you can be forgiven. It's not up to a fictitious holy man or the gods of ancient Egypt. The strength of forgiveness is within you and you alone. Don't let fanatical beliefs dictate rationality.
