The process of life begins at conception; it's hypocritical to say that it's acceptible to terminate a life at one point but not at another. Atheists and other baby-killers who lack a moral compass will tell you that it's O.K. to kill a baby as long as it doesn't know what's going on, but those of us who even remotely have any moral standing whatsoever realize that it's wrong to try to excuse the termination of an innocent human life at any point.

For humans: to the best of my understanding, the moment an embryo grows a second cell. Until that point the organism can become multiple organisms (i.e. identical twins).
Not directly related to the answer but related to the subject:
Ecclesiastes 6
3 A man may have a hundred children and live many years; yet no matter how long he lives, if he cannot enjoy his prosperity and does not receive proper burial, I say that a stillborn child is better off than he. 4 It comes without meaning, it departs in darkness, and in darkness its name is shrouded. 5 Though it never saw the sun or knew anything, it has more rest than does that man- 6 even if he lives a thousand years twice over but fails to enjoy his prosperity. Do not all go to the same place?

Now, that's funny...I checked your questions and answers, and I can't find where you asked this question in the science section.
Anyhow, from the Christian point of view, here is your answer:
Life begins when God says "let there be life"...in other words, life begins at conception.
Now, go and ask in the "dogs" section what someone's prize-winning pregnant doggie is carrying, and the proud owner will tell you "puppies".
Ask someone who breeds horses what his prize winning pregnant mare is carrying...and he will tell you "a foal".
Ask someone who breeds cattle what his pregnant cow is carrying, and he will tell you "a calf".
Funny thing, these guys all know that, when their prize animal gets pregnant, they are carrying baby animals, and they are pleased as punch...
But if their girlfriend gets pregnant, suddenly, it's "a clump of cells"....
Go figure....

Life as in a person.. Starts at conception. Physical evidencie is the knowledge that your monthly has stopped and you show signs of being with child. The scripture is unneccesary. What scripture is realitive to the beggining of life. I am native american and we believe that life begins at conception. There is no mistakes, that the great spirit will bless us with child. We are thankful for all life. Life of a plant, fish and most of all mother earth.
Thank you hope this helps.

unless you were there how can you prove the beginning of life?in that case life started in 1954 or when i open my eyes and realized this reality. My body is the physical evidence. As far as the beginning? life always existed because it is the only phenomena that can exist, the nothing cannot exist because nothing disappear or appear from the nothingness. You need matter to make matter.we are from GOD like GOD ,so we always existed, there is no beginning.

My proposition is that physical evidence cannot be given because life begins before one assumes the phyhsical form which starts out as sperm and which later developes into an embryo.
Science has importance , undoubtedly ,but we should not forget that science as we know it today is recent. It is very convincing but it is recent. Humanity is not here because of science, Humanity did not begin here through science as we know it today. The progression of life on this planet, has nothing to do with recent science, even though that science holds it own by its products which we are so dependent on today.
There would be no science if there was no life being developed for millions of years without the very same science. Science should not be like a defiant teenage who redicules his parents because their methods are old-fashioned. Science should appreciate that life went on for millions of years without its assistance and can continue with or without it. In fact there is no evidence that science as we know it today will outlast the life process which after millions of years, produced the very same science.
When did life begin?
From mystic perception, life began when a particular person's subtle body fused into the mento-emotional energy of either one his or her parents. That is not a physical act. It is an emotional bond.
Stated differently, we begin our life through natural unification with the emotions of one of our parents and then later with both of our parents. Then gradually we first identify with their physical body, particularly with their digestive and generative physical functions.
In other words, we must first live in one of our parents' body before we can acquire a baby form from them.
What is the physical evidence of this?
There is physical evidence but it is not easy to perceive it. The evidence is that once you fuse into the mental and emotional energy of your would-be mother or father, that person's life becomes altered on the basis of your tendencies and karmic destiny.
Science has its value, but it won't solve all of our problems and nature will never allow science to explain all of its mysteries.
The problem we will always have with science is this: It is late, millions of years late. And Nature will never allow it to be there in the very beginning. Science as we know it, is so unessential that Nature only allowed it to develop for us , after millions of years of evolution. We should not get too carried away with it, or think that everything has to be qualified by it.We got to this point beyond the cave people without it.

"I asked this question in science section"
Your question history suggests otherwise... Methinks you are a liar. You know that the answerers in the science section will destroy any preconcieved, biblical answer you have already decide is the truth.

Life of some sort begins at conception.
Life that can sustain itself begins at birth.
I don't give a rats *** about the abortion issue. That's just my view of it.
