Ok. I think it was a show that came on when I got home from school, may have even been on during school and I only caught it on sick days and vacation days, cause it WAS grown uppish with mature themes. It was almost like a movie that changed themes every week. One week it would be monsters, like 'creature from the black lagoon', or a killer robot from outer space movie, or some weird humanoid creature with suckers on it's finger tips, etc. Then maybe another week would have a totally different theme. I'm sorry, that's about all I remember. The clearest memory is the one about the alien monsters. I remember it was snowy on the ground. These weird humanoid monsters kept creepin up on these unsuspecting people with this really eirie music, and each monster was a little different then the last. Oh, I also remember these giant monsters that ran around in this building that look like giant Mcdonalds fry guys without the long legs that if they touched you you were good as dead. Help?

Many television stations throughout the USA had weekly locally produced programs that aired old horror movies and were hosted by a local celebrity dressed up in a horror costume. In Chicago, in the 1960's, it was called Shock Theater and later changed to Svengoolie in the 1970's. So to research the name of your show, we would have to know the city, state and country the program aired. In each city, the name of the show was different.

You may be,like Poor Horatio suggests, attempting to remember one of the many local horror movie shows common during that era (the movie you have the clearest memory was "The Thing" from 1951;The New York City area had "The 4:30 Movie" on WABC-TV (1967?-83) which often had theme weeks (horror,sci-fi,epics,etc.--maybe your hometown had a similar afternoon movie show)...

...or else you might've been watching the original 1960s version of "The Outer Limits" after school where you were (it had monsters, but the plots were often more mature than your standard fright flick)

Think it could possibly be the Twilight Zone newly remastered?? They brought it back breifly in the 80's with new characters and new plotlines. Or maybe the show, "Amazing Tales". I remember that was on and I used to fall in love with it. It aired like 3 stories in one movie, and for television they cut each movie down to each part, so it was a short show. My younger brother and I used to race home to watch it. But that's all I can think of.
