I don't know if it was truly love, but it felt like it. We ended up breaking it off and it still hurts to this day. What did you do?

Take it one step at a time. Also don't rushing into another relationship because that is where you will be back with: a broken heart. talk to a guy you like or likes you and keep the conservation going between you two. once the guy you have been talking to is in your life, then your ex will be gone. that's what I would do to heal my broken heart.

Psychologists say that if you get back into a routine, have fun with friends, and don't sit around all day and brood, that within 3 months you will be as happy as you were prior to the break-up. I don't know how long it has been, but the pain will dull with time. You may never feel that the love you felt is completely gone however, real love is funny that way....hangs around for a lifetime.

Cry for 2 to 3 minutes then go wash my face, glancing in the mirror at how ridiculous I looked and saying "I am too pretty to let someone make me feel and look the way I did." Realizing that they made the mistake in loosing me as a wonderful companion and friend. Had a glass of wine called my buddy, went out and had a wonderful time.

The only thing I did was let time heal me. I just did the best I could to make it from day to day and sometime that meant allowing myself to feel the pain... hurt, cry and let what naturally needed to happen to happen so I could move on. I know that doesn't sound like much but you can't do much with a HEARTACHE....I know!

Wait it out. Only time heals a broken heart. Trust me, I KNOW.
It also helps if you can do things to keep you busy and occupied. Like hanging out with friends, maybe play games, do sports, spend time with friends, read. Meet a new person fro yourself, this would all help

Scars are forever.

I always still remember my past, I just can't forget it.

But dwelling in the past always brings more misery.

Try just to not think of it and try new healthy things, do things you used to do. Spend time with loved ones, meet new people. I'm not saying to just get over it, I'm just saying to try and keep your mind off of it.

You'll feel better, in time you'll be able to move on.

Sometimes it can be better to face your problems head on, positively. I don't know if this is the right situation though.

i was i a relationship with my bf for two years and we broke up a few months ago. i believe we were truly in love too. but it doesnt mean it was meant to last. the best advice i can give u is talk it out with someone. and if u feel like u need to cry, cry! its good to let those feelings out. also, keep yourself busy and go back to doing things u maybe stopped doing while u were dating.

hope i helped?

when you find out, tell me. i was deeply hurt by my best friend who has refused to continue speaking to me and my heart has never quite healed. i hope yours does. the only thing i suggest is let go. but now you ask "BUT HOW?" that is also a good question. i was forced to numb some of my other feelings...focus on other important things, but no matter how hard you try, it still hurts, doesn't it? i'm so sry. good luck
