my puppy just turned 7 weeks old.. how old does she have to be before she can get her first shots? I got her from a lady that never got her any shots. and also about how much do they cost?

Last I checked, the puppy boosters are at 6, 9, and 12 weeks of age.
So your puppy is due for it. As for cost, it may vary depending on your location. Contact your local vet and ask. :)

Yopu can get her into the vets this week. she will need her first vet check up and de wormer. Also she will get her firt shots too. Ask your vet about the puppy package. It's a great way to get all your pups shots at a discounted price because you pay for them all at once! Then you just go back for the remaining shot every 3 weeks.
Cost varies to much from place to place so it's really hard to tell you what it will cost!

Price depends on the vet...my puppy's second round cost about $80 for the visit and shots. She had her first set of shots at 8 weeks.
Call around and ask vets!

Teh pup should have been wormed along with mom at 2,4,6,and 8 weeks old.
So since he hasn't had anything done get him in as SOON as possible . Also beware of taking him out of the house until he gets at the least his second booster better if you wait until his third.
I pay $5.50 for the vacines and do myself the vets charge different prices rangin from $25 chaepest I've seen on up to $75and that's just for the shot then additional charge for the stool sample to check for worms and then the meds for teh worming.

How did you get the dog already? I don't think they're supposed to leave their mother until they're 8wks. Anyway, the shots vary depending on which shots you're getting... but pe prepared. They're going to need a lot of them as puppies.
you should register for VPI pet insurance. It's $20 a month and they'll reimburse you for 90% of medical proceedures, vaccines, and meds. I know pet health insurance sounds lame, but we wish we had gotten it with our first dog after he was diagnosed with diabetes and had to start taking daily insulin shots and had to eat special food. (It was also $300 a pop whenever he had to go to the animal ER whenever he got into regular food)

She needs to be 8 weeks old. She'll have vaccinations at 8, 12 & 16 weeks of age and her rabies at 20 weeks.

Some vets start the shots at 6 weeks some at 8 weeks. Ask the vet that you decide to use. She should be ready right after Christmas.

They are all around 30 bucks at most vets which would include the health check. I wonder why the lady didn't give shots-did she not care about parvo?
