The blu-ray movie cases are nice and thin, whereas the games have cases about as thick as a dvd case. Why the difference? Most games don't have very thick manuals, and they should be able to fit into a thinner case. Am I the only one who would prefer thinner cases?

I think that it might just be you that prefers the thinner cases. The PS3 game cases are just a few millimeters thicker than the Blu-Ray DVD cases, it's not that much of a difference.

I prefer the bigger PS3 game cases. I don't know if you've noticed, but the thinner cases are very flimsy, they are very easy to bend and they aren't sturdy. The PS3 game cases are more sturdy and are more higher quality in my opinion.

I don't know if there is an actual reason for the PS3 game cases being thicker, but the PS2 game cases are about the same width as the PS3 cases, so I guess Sony wanted to keep PS3 game cases the same width and thickness to PS2 game cases.

I agree with the first answerer - I prefer durability over fancy thoughts.
