I'm a far-left Democrat and I oppose illegal immigration, amnesty, et. al. because the illegal aliens are being used by big agribusiness and other predatory employers to lower the cost of labor in the U.S. - I favor deporting both the aliens AND the employers...

Independent (leaning more towards Republican than Democrat), and I oppose illegal immigration, amnesty, and guest worker programs. When all Americans that want jobs have one and there is still a need for more workers (and I seriously doubt that will be the case) then we can discuss strictly controlled guest worker programs.

Registered Democrat. Completely opposed to illegal immigration. No Amnesty. Deportation and secured borders. Going Independent. Can't support the Republican ideals either.

Conservative and against illegal immigration and oppose any kind of amnesty program. If there is a need for workers in this country, then a controlled guest worker program should be arranged.

I am a republican who opposes illegal immigration. My grandparents became citizens the legal way. I have relatives both on my side of the family tree and on my wife's side who were once immigrants and are now US citizens. In most cases it took 10 or more years for them to become citizens going through legal channels. I really have to question the moral values of those who support illegal immigration. What is it about the term "illegal" that is so hard to understand?

Republican.
Illegal immigration is horrible for our country. An "alley" fence system that has been set up along the San Diego- Mexican border has reduced drug and illegal immigration movements in the area by over 50%. These fences should be built along our entire border. The immigration system should also be reworked so that honest immigrants can get their green cards in a reasonable amount of time.

I change parties when the leader of the party in the country or state is someone whose policies I can not stand.
