this sun gods name in the old testament was the sun god Baalim? That the Israelites forsook the Lord (EL is lord in hebrew and represents the planet Saturn.)

The old testament was based upon the worship of the old sun Saturn, and based upon the Jewish Torah.. The old testament says our current sun Jesus was named Baalim and his mother is Ashtaroth in the Old Testament, Ishtar in other ancient belief systems, and Mary the virgin in Christianity. So we have this Sun god being Baalim/Baalder/Jebus being reborn tomorrow morning when the sun begins its return to the northern hemisphere after Winter Solstice. Have christians been duped into worshipping a false god just like their bibles say they will be?

Ditto Frau Hunter.
Please don't confuse Balder with Baal, they have absolutely nothing in common save from two letters. Just because the name sounds SLIGHTLY like it, you can't presume one developed from the other.

If you want to learn something about the origins of sun worship, a god "dying" and being resurrected after three days on dec.25th, and basically the origins of christianity as they took over half of their mythology from pagan religions, then watch this video:

Many cultures had this same Idea. Mithra was another sun God. His birthday was 12/25 also. Interestingly, he was born of a virgin also, but long before Jesus.

The emperor Constantine changed the Christian celebration to the 25th of December to coincide with the Mithrian sun god celebration.

The rest is history.

No, you are a bit incorrect.

The Druids were Celtic. Balder (not Baalder) is a Northern European deity and equating him as a "sun" god is a conversion period attempt to draw heathens into Christianity. Most scholars feel the Balder story is an attempt to soft-sell Christianity to the Vikings.

I know who I worship, He is the only begotten Son of God,
your question reveals how lost you are. A person who has a personal relationship with Jesus has the Spirit of Jesus living in them by the Spirit of his Father, this Spirit bears witness that I am the child of God through his Son by my Faith in his Son.
By faith alone, believing Jesus is God's Son I am saved and
know the power of God in my mortal body. I have eternal life
through Jesus Christ.
