Does God influence events or how people respond to them? Some people think God manipulates all events, but how can that be possible? Actually God is in another plane that so very hard for us to comprehend. He is on that position where He can see the past, present and future at the same time. It means He knows exactly what would be your fate when you chose a certain pathway in your life just like a tree, there is always an end in each branch, we're just like an ant crawling and wherever we go He knows our destiny by seeing the whole tree at once.
