Yeah it scares me. People drive like idiots. We almost got hit like 10 times today. And then EVERYONE is on the roads and everyone has to get to the store like they are the only ones that matter. Sorry I don't mean everyone, I mean the majority of the people.

HAHA. My story is like Habibti!!! I work in the mall and our hours are increased during this season so I get Christmas song overload!!! I was actually humming in my kitchen "jingle bells" not realizing what I was doing and my older brother busted out laughing. I looked at him like he was crazy and then i realized... OOPS! Mall parking is horrendous so I leave 40 mins early to insure that I would drive safely to get there on time. As for the people, not really an sour experiences everyone was pretty cordial this holiday which made going to work bearable!!! HOWEVER, I did sleep well on the 25th and enjoyed a nice morning of field service on the 26th. To answer your question, I am happy that Christmas is over as are all my co-workers since stores go back to normal hours of operation!!!

Actually it doesn't bother me. It's only 1 day for the world to get all hyped over. lol I usually avoid the malls at all costs during that time and any grocery shopping that I need to do, I do it about 2 weeks before the frenzy starts.

I sit back in the comfort of my home and watch my neighbors go bonkers trying desperately to get gifts and what have you for people who will more than likely find fault with what they've purchased anyway. **smiles***

One day of madness; six months or more of debt.
Go figure!

sis, I know how you feel. even when you turn on the radio or TV that is all you hear. you go into a store and they are playing Xmas songs. they start at the end of Oct. we had our two day assembly in waycross ga and it was great hearing Kingdom Melodies instead of Xmas songs. one day real soon we will not have to put up with that. several years ago I was doing door to door and people where so rude that I decided not to go anymore on xmas day. I agree with sisters, now they will complain that they have to pay off there credit cards. starting tomorrow it is how was your xmas and then on Thursday, they will start with happy new year. yuck. the sister who answered below me, I do feel sorry for the brothers and sisters who work in stores and hear that all day.

Oh yes, me too!!! Now, just think...we get to hear "How was your Christmas?" for the next 2 weeks.
I just say "peaceful and quiet". They really don't know how to respond to that. :)
Aaagggg
Also, what's the deal with the radio channels that convert over to all Christmas music the second Thanksgiving is over.
Most people are frowning and just plain grouchier this time of year. They are spending money they don't have on gifts for people they try to avoid seeing the rest of the year.
The only decent part is the sales , I don't fight the crowds, I buy online.

The sucky part for me is that I can't avoid the mall because I work IN the mall! So, can you imagine having to deal with the parking everytime I go to work? And then the non-stop Christmas music in the store! And they're so catchy that sometimes I find myself singing along to "let it snow" and such songs. hehehe....it's kinda funny. My co-workers know I don't celebrate so they find it funny when they catch me dancing. :)

Can't wait 'til it's over!

Oh yeah! That's the thing I like about Christmas: after it comes we can stop hearing about it for about 10 months. ;) Many people don't want to hear about different religious views than theirs, however when Christmas comes, there is no way you can go through a day without hearing about it. And if you don't celebrate it, you are weird, or even insane. Then I love being weird and insane! :)

I can't wait! To be able to go shopping without Jingle Bells and Santas coming to town playing all the time. Why is it ev eryone goes mad at Christmas and buy up everything they see? Half of the stuff they throw away after and they only make themselves sick with overeating and drinking.nd they think we are weird because we don't celebrate it.
