I have a hard time believing in something i've never heard speak or even physically exist. When I pray I feel no response whatsoever. though i dont doubt something could be up there "watching" over us. Keyword watching. But then again I feel a lot stronger and safer when I wear a chain with the cross on it. Oh well, it is very a very odd subject. what do you think about god?

God for 100% pure fact exists.

1Co:1:19: For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1Co:1:20: Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1Co:1:21: For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1Co:1:22: For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1Co:1:23: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1Co:1:24: But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1Co:1:25: Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1Co:1:26: For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1Co:1:27: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1Co:1:28: And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1Co:1:29: That no flesh should glory in his presence.
1Co:1:30: But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1Co:1:31: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

See, God is not understood by the worlds logic because He chose not to be. One way to find Him is to read maybe half a chapter a day out of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. And meditate on His word throughout the day and pray to God that He will send the Holy Spirit to reveal His wisdom to you.
Focus on Jesus standing beside you all day and night,after awhile of seeking God with a whole heart start asking God questions in your thoughts, do not ask aloud or tell anybody else what you ask Him and then with an open mind and soft heart be on the lookout for your answer. It will come through t.v., a street sign, a bumper sticker, anything and everything is at His disposal to use. But you will know it is your answer because you will feel a burning sensation in your heart and it will pertain to your question. He also uses other Christians to answer you.
But I tell you after a couple years of Him answering consistently you will be as sure as I am there is absoluetly no coincidence about it. P.S. Make sure it goes along with the Bible.

Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

I started as a believer because I was "brainwashed" as a little kid but as I grew older I was troubled by the lack of evidence that it was nothing more than stories handed down from generation to generation. Finally, in college with a full year of biology under my belt it became pretty clear what the reality was and I lost my faith in the credence of these myths. And I found that what made me sad was not that I did not believe in some sky daddy any more but rather breaking a bond in the heritage, but I had to do what would not make me feel like a hypocrite. And I can still get together with my family on the holidays, I just don't take the reason for the holiday seriously any more.

You are getting the first star for a question that i have ever given. Personally, I am a Pagan and believe in several Gods. There is no proof for them and I cannot tell you why I believe in them, it just "feels" right. You are getting a Star for asking a brave question on here. I can see already that most are not interested in answering your question, but only in telling you that they are right. I think that belief is a feeling, and I am not worried about the "truth" as I feel that the "truth" that any deity may come up with -if such a being exists- is more than I could cope with Edit: Interesting to note, that the only people answering your question wha have an ANSWER are the Christians

I don't wear a cross or even have one in the house, but I feel very close to my God. I feel the spirit in my life constantly. I feel a peace and accord with the earth and the people around me who are all children of the almighty. I feel I can almost reach out and touch him. I love him and his son Jesus Christ and the peace and serenity they give me always.

Try using God's personal name when you pray.
Ps. 83:18 - "That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,
You alone are the Most High over all the earth."

If you truly believe that God exists, and want His help in your life, He will answer you.

The LORD asks me to trust HIM. HE NEVER said that I should feel something. However, when JESUS is with you, you should be filled with peace. Don't expect an emotional experience. Also, DO NOT put your trust in crosses or other objects. They have absolutely NO power whatsoever.

GOD bless

The cross to you is a comfort blanket. The kind of thing a child has when they are younger. It happens quite often that people hang on to things when they are older.

I classify myself as agnostic because I really don't believe that anyone can truly know the answer. Who really KNOWS? You don't know, you just have faith. I really don't think anyone knows for sure and I don't think it can be known.

But I really doubt there is one... unless I see some evidence to the contrary.
