After God destroyed everything (except Noah's family and the animals on the ark) He sent the rainbow as a sign that He would never again destroy the earth with a flood.

Gen 9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

He gave the rainbow sign to remind us about Noe's and animals survival of the entire earth covered with water. In addition, It is a promise and his word that he will never destroy humans with the same means

As a token of His promise to Noah. God would never destroy the earth again, read the fine print: by water. This visible sign I am sure was a great comfort to Noah. This is why I think the token was given. It was for our benefit as a sign of reassurance and of God's mercy. God does not need to give tokens when making promises - He keeps them all.

It is a Covenant God made to all animals, man, and the earth, to never destroy it again with a flood. Please read in the Holy Bible Genesis 9:12-17.

So, you believe that rainbows were not visible before god flooded the earth? ( and you beleive the whole earth was flooded too no less?)   What can be done???   Wanna buy a bridge? Oceanfront property in new mexico?
