There are a couple ways to go with this. First, I would go to the IG (Inspector General). Depending on how powerful this officer is, it would be in question as to how hard it would get pushed. More than likely, he would be allowed to retire. The second route is the news. Find a reputable news reporter and let them run with it. Three, if you're shady, there's always blackmail, but I wouldn't suggest that one!!
EDIT: For all you people who say mind your own business, that is our business. Integrity is one of the cornerstones of our military, and obviously this officer has none. Myself, being in the military, would be toast if this came out on me, and nobody in my chain of command would mind their own business. If we can't trust this officer to do the right thing back home, how can we trust this officer leading troops into battle?

Ignore it.
The act might have occurred in a place where it was not illegal. (Although any non-marital sexual relation is a violation of the UCMJ -- if that were every really applied the entire military would be smaller than the Marine Corps)
If it did occur in a place where it was illegal, it might in no way impact the good order and discipline of his/her command.
Unless the high ranking commissioned officer is being blackmailed, it does not really seem to be any of your business.
As an aside, it seems very likely to me that you committed some violations of UCMJ or local law in gathering that evidence -- voyeurism, pandering, you were the prostitute -- you don't give enough details, but that is generally how these things work. (My favorite used to be EMs that would sell drugs to officers and then report them after they got busted, hoping for a break.)
High ranking commissioned officers are people too. The need sex just as much as the rest of us. Unless some manner of security breach is occurring, such as the aforementioned blackmail, back off, burn your videos, and mind your own business.
If you are pursuing this because he/she is a 'high ranking commissioned officer', then you need to as yourself what you would do if he/she was a Private. In most cases, the Private having sex with the prostitute would be totally ignored. Stop grinding axes...

I'd have to say mind your own business as well.. If he did in fact sleep with a prostitute, thats disgusting but not your place to go and rat him out on it.... If you do decide to rat him out, I hope for yoursake that you have a squeaky clean past, which I highly doubt you do.... What goes around comes around. Why make his life a living hell ? What could you possibly get out of this situation other than others knowing you as a tattle tale??... Even the 4 year olds I teach know better...

Do the right thing and turn the evidence over to the IG and then let it be. It is hard to do the right thing.
Those of you saying it isn't a big deal don't realize that human trafficking is a huge problem, especially in countries that our military is. Recently the DoD has made it illegal to engage in activities that promote human trafficking...like prostitution.

Well as a rule I wouldn't care. If you know the mans wife give it to her anonymously and some justice will be done if you want to call it that. The other option is give it to whatever branch he belongs to JAG that will ensure it is acted upon if your out to try and ruin the guy. the sleazier option is blackmail but then you could and probably would end up in the clink as that is a felony and what he did is a misdemeanor.

Kiss your military career good bye. If they are that high ranking then what will go down is that you will expose them and they will get an official reprimand and nothing else if that and you will get either outright kicked out of the military or the rest of your time in the military will be made a living hell.
Nothing wrong with sleeping with a prostitute, it's the paying part that is illegal in most states. It is a misdemeanor at best. So you will just be viewed as trying to throw that officer under the bus and publicly embarrass them because you have a personal grudge against them.
Now if it was something serious then I would have said by all means turn them in but what you have is just dirt and it seems like you are either wanting to blackmail them or take out a personal grudge on them.

Take it to the civilian police. It's funny how people prefer that others "mind their own business", as if they want the Commanding Officers of Battalions, Regiments, even Brigades to go sleeping around on the job, breaching civil law and getting away with it.
Integrity is one of the cornerstones of the military. Members of the military are required to abide by civil law more than anyone else. If an "Officer and a Gentleman" can't contain himself, I don't see how fellow Privates can be trusted.

If you absolutely hate this guy, by all means, take him down. If it means destroying your career, if you can live with it, do it.
If you're just being a goody two-shoes, get a life. He's definitely not the only one doing it, that's for sure. Laugh about it and move on. Chances are you'll do something stupid and will need someone to cover you. This is how you get hated in life. Stay cool and ignore it, this won't be the last time you run into something like this.

I agree with Mac. If the situation happened to a low ranking enlisted person, they would be kicked out. I say show the high and mighy officer that he is not above the law, no matter his rank. Tell someone you know in the military, they'll know where to go from there. If you dont know anyone else in the military, go to a reporter!

If it was in Nevada it probably was legal. You can do nothing.
If it was in some other state, take the information to the JAG office. Of course, they will want to know WHY and HOW you got the information. If you got it illegally, such as with a wire tap, they can not use it anyway.

Wow, that officer must have been very careless to let you get the evidence. The thing is, you have a decision that could affect many lives. High ranking commissioned officers have a lot of experience and capabilities that may be needed, that could save lives and protect the country. They can do things most people can't.
If you expose this officer, and the country loses him or her, it could mean horrible consequences. I suggest you confront this high ranking commissioned officer with the evidence and render your decision personally. That will take courage. Do you possess such strength?
If you haven't the strength to confront this person one on one, I suggest you just drop the whole thing.
