earphone into a line in wont work!! it will have to be a line out to hear the music from the sourse!!

You can get adaptors that connect a jact to a jack. But if the headphiones are plugged in to line input you won't hear anything. They need to go into an output.

Yes, no problem. Start with the recording level set middleish and the headphone level at 0 then edge the headphone level up gently until you get good recording levels but not hitting MAX. Use the 3.5mm or 1/4 inch headphone . -3.5mm lead or whatever.

u mean you want to run a 3.5 jack to a 3.5 jack.. but 1 end is output.. say for playback the other end records?

they do all sorts of cable. including a 3.5 jack to 3.5 jack which i assume what you want

BUT if the line out is amplified it isn't so good recording wise.
