No. I used to think that, but I got smarter. When I believed that my life was mine, I ended up close to suicide, addicted to marijuana, jobless, and pretty close to homeless.
After I recognized God's ownership of me, and living in that reality, I ended up having better things to do, cured from addiction, and able to hold a job.
So Go made that much difference with me. And I think that I will stick to that.

Our reactions and choices about our circumstances are always under our control, so, in that sense, yes, life is ours to make whatever we want to make of it. However, our unique set of capacities and qualities and often our circumstances are our fate, and we have to deal with those with the capacities and qualities we have and make the best decisions we can. Some of us are born into or happen to live in extraordinarily horrible circumstances which severely limit the choices we can make, while others are born into security and privilege where the world is their oyster.
I'm thinking of the millions of youth in particular who live where ethnic-socio-politico-economic- religious wars/battles have raged for years and ravaged their families, while others are born into peace, prosperity, and privilege. The successes or failures of the one born into material prosperity will likely be more visible, while that of the one born into poverty and violence will go unnoticed because her story is never told.
The prosperous and privileged among us rarely understand the lives and excruciating choices of the ravaged, voiceless, and forgotten.

No, I don't. Life never goes the way any of us plans. It takes unexpected detours along the way. God has a plan for you and a reason for why he puts you in some situations. In more worldly terms, not everyone can be a doctor or engineer because he wants to. Some are born handicapped mentally and/or physically and have not the chance.

I believe that but other people won't let me. They think I should do anything to make a ton of money, they only believe in financial freedom not freedom for my mind and soul. I am unhappy because I can't do what I want with my life because I don't have the money to do.

Yes, of course it is ... because God gave us FREE WILL so the 'decisions' are ours, not his. I know the 'truth' about God, though ... and it's WONDERFUL for ALL of us ... have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ... or whatever holidays you celebrate throughout the year!

Those who are in the guidance of Allah SWT remain in the guidance of Allah SWT forever and ever amen. Those whom have allowed themselves to be led astray have never been and never will be guided by anything on the face of this earth.
