I have tried every single acne remedy in the last 6-7 years, including all available antibiotics on the market, homeopathy, diet and lifestyle changes, detoxification, facepacks, herbal remedies, you name it. Recently I decided to return to antibiotics. I'm using erythromycin pills and clindamycin gel. It's worked very well for the acne on my forehead.. but absolutely nothing for the acne on my chin. The chin acne is the worst for me because they are white or red bumps that either release pus and vanish or leave scars and red marks.. plus they are very painful and look ogrish. I'm close to breaking point because there seems to be no more advice or guidance out there as I seem to have tried everything with the exception of expensive lasers and peels. I've heard that chin acne has much to do with hormones. I guess my hormones still rage as I'm a 20 year old virgin so could that have something to do with it? If anyone has any pointers, suggestions or guidance I'd greatly appreciate it

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

I've used Clindamycin in lotion form for inflamed acne, and it's done wonders. However, Clindamycin probably won't do much for comedonal acne (whiteheads, blackheads). It sounds like you have inflamed whiteheads. Make sure that area of your face isn't dry, as the dead skin will clog pores. Also stay away from foods high in iodine (kelp, seaweed) and peanut butter (or peanuts in general, but mostly peanut butter). Then try finding an acne skincare specialist in your area. They may be able to perform monthly extractions that will clear the pores in your problem areas. Also try checking out acne.org's message board for more info.

I'm 54 years old and still get acne, not bad but it's still there and I use hydrogen peroxide on the blemishes. Try a little bit on one and see how it goes. What it does, is boil out the impurities. Keep away from eyes. It is so cheap and works great on mosquito bites too.

Acne around the mouth is often caused by poor dietary habits.. but is partially due to your hormones. Drink water and eat your fruits and vegetables.
