God loves all of his children equally and none will be sent to "hell" without having a chance to learn of and accept his plan of happiness. Thankfully, through a modern prophet named Joseph Smith we know and understand that those who did not have the opportunity to learn of Christ and accept his gospel while here on the earth will have the chance to do so after this life. God is no respector of persons and desires that all his children return to his presence. If you wish to learn more please visit www.mormon.org.

How people were saved before Christ came to earth:
1) From Adam up until Abraham, God spoke directly to the people of the earth to believe in Messiah for the forgiveness of sins.
2) From Moses to Malachi, God sent the prophets predictions of the Messiah coming. The place he was going to be born--Bethleham. What tribe he would be from--Judah. That he would be preceded by a messanger--John the Baptist.
Abraham believe and it was credited to him as righteouness.
This was his entry into heaven. To believe in the coming of the Messiah.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
People have always been saved this way by believing in the coming of the Messiah. But when Jesus came, people during Jesus' time needed to believe in him in order to be saved. Jesus told the Jews that if they didn't believe he was the One he claimed to be, then they would surely die in their sins. Meaning that they would go to hell. So during the time of Jesus and after, people need to believe in him in order to be saved.
an addition: Islam believes that there were Prophets who told the people what they needed to know about the Law in order to get into heaven. Although, I don't believe Jesus was "just" a Prophet. He is a Prophet, Priest, and King.

This wouldn't be loving or just of God, and He is always loving and just. Some say that Christ went to where all the dead were and shared with them. The truth is no one will know until the end. However, God loves them too, so I am sure they are not left out of Gods plan for us.

Adam the first man on earth was a Prophet and his sons who invited people to worship only one God will go to Heaven. There after several Prophets came (about one lakh twenty four thousand) in various parts of the world and all of them invited people to worship only one God. Noah, Salih, Abraham, Yakob, Joseph, Lut, Moses, Dawood, Soloman, Jesus and Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Them) were all prophets sent by God to various places in the world and all people who followed them will go to Heaven.

I don't know about Muhammad but being a Christian I believe that people before Christ had the same requirement for salvation, which was faith.
"For by grace ye are saved thru FAITH..."
Ephesians 2:8
Same requirement is for us as it was for them (in the old testament of the scriptures, or before Christ)
I personally believe that Muhammad was a false prophet and started (or influenced) a false religion

It is written that when Christ died , He went to the place where people go that didn't have a chance to hear Christ's gospel of salvation. There Christ taught His gospel and many believed and so were saved.

To think out of the box of what people have been exposed to such as Heaven and Hell please consider the following;
1. Is it possible for us to have transmigration of our soul from one body to another until we reach a level of unalloyed purity which then allows entering into the kingdom of GOD? The actual hell is in this world where we undergo ageing, disease the accompaniment difficulties and finally death. The pang of material attachment is multifold and grows like cancer as we age and hampers our progress to transit to the next world.
2. It does not take too much effort or intelligence to have intense sense gratification such as to indulge in uninhibited eating, having sexual gratification, sleeping & lazing around, indulge in hate mongering and plotting terrorist activities without a thought of other people. To live a completely controlled life of eating karma free foods, controlling one desires, purify onself of all evil thoughts, greed and hatred needs much effort, intelligence and detachment.
3. One’s birth in any situation is actually a continuation from the past birth therefore any defect has been “earned” from the past life. This satisfieswhy some are born blind or with any other form of handicap.
4. Lifeis not as easy as it seems and needs our full atention to reduce the pang of daily living and only through complete dedication and self surrender can we achieve complete control over ourselves so that it cushions the difficulties we face in life especially the heartache. There are many who go insane because of this deficiency.
5. If God is all powerful why should he not slay the Satan and guide all mankind to the right path and illuminate our lives in the “right “direction?
6. Howcome GOD came and whispered only into the ears of a few selected people, why should he not appear in everyones vision and educate him appropriately?
7. Is it that the SUPREME CREATOR has created a system and it is to follow with utmost sincerity and not by following some so called Prophets who always placed themselves before anyone? Most of us have been indoctrinated by some philosophy since our cradle days and we have difficulty and fear to even think out of this system for we may be thrown into Hell. Is God is that cruel or controlled by these Prophets. God has given us the freedom to think carefully and of course not to commit suicide by being too indulgent.
8. These are some thoughts and need to share with you, please give your comments but you must think out of the boxes that have imprisoned you. Man needs no religion but be thought a way of Life where all can live peacefully by the teachings of Great Masters, like Socrates, Buddha, Krishna, Tao, Confuscius and many more in the recent times. Life is a gift and let us not team up to destroy it in the name of Religious Dogmatism and fanaticism.

Those that worshiped God went to a place called Paradise, waiting for Jesus to die on the cross and be resurrected. When He died, He went to Paradise and took those believers to heaven. Those that died without God went to hell with satan and his demons.

1. Mohammad wasn't a savior... he supposedly was a prophet. Big difference.
2. Jesus died for the sins of all mankind for all time... past, present and future
