any idea how to handle her?

my dog luvs 2 seat with us,on the CHAIR during our meal time..!! she even slipped behind me when there's no chair available.duh~! we've always scold her n teach her not to do it,n it works..for few minutes. so,any of u have the same prob like this?how to handle her?

Never allow your dog to jump on ANY furniture in your house unless you say it is ok. She needs to respect what is yours. It is not because she "loves" sitting with you, it is because she thinks of the chair as hers. If she jumps on it, say OFF firmly and tell her where to go while you eat. If saying OFF does not work, gently grab her collar and guide her off the chair. Picking her up and putting her on the floor is not very effective because picking up a dog when they are misbehaving only rewards the dog for being bad. Keep doing this every time she jumps on any furniture, because she will never learn if she gets away with it sometimes. When you have a meal, make her leave the room. Do not feel bad, feel in control and really mean it. She will eventually learn if you are always consistent.

Doesn't sound too hard to me.. Pull your chair up to the table and sit back in the chair. Problem solved. Or crate her while you are eating. Teach her some manners, and make her sit or lay on her bed while you are eating. I don't have that problem.

my dog is the same way, now he knows which furniture he can be on, we have a couch ONLY HE USES(yes he spoiled)
and he knows my bed is the ONLY one hes allowed on, maybe give her food when you guys eat, so she is focused on her food, we used to spray lad(my dog) with water...so id say maybe try that, it doesnt hurt her(which is a GREAT thing!) just let her no, its not ok...good luck!

If they have a crate, put them in there with toys while you eat.
