I am a Jehovah's Witness, reflecting back I have to say yes and no.
No, I do not feel left out and neither does my wife who is a Witness also. We choose to be no part of Christmas. We have a strong spiritual brother and sister association which surpasses the Christmas season.

Christmas is a sharer of pagan celebrations and was put in place of the pagan worship of Saturnalia. The Bible counsels in 2 Corinthians 6:14-15
"For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Belial?"

With the Bible as my guide really there is not much to miss. I still have fellowship with my spiritual brothers and sisters and that is all year round. When I knew the real truth about Christmas it lost it's meaning and value to me. It was just fancy wrapping and tinsel it had no true biblical substance also rather it was spiritually harmful for me to continue doing.

The Bible puts the emphasis on Christ's death than his birth. take Ecclesiastes 7:1
"A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one’s being born."
We know the exact date Christ was sacrificed. That is the real observance a true Christian should observe on the Passover of Nisan 14.
1 Corinthians 11:24
"Keep doing this in remembrance of me." was Christ's command so Jehovah's Witnesses continue to do what Christ commanded before he was killed.

Yes, the biggest point for us is that being left out is what we strive at doing. The world is fond of it's own but we do not follow the world who's ruler is Satan (2 Corinthians 4:4)

John 17:16
"They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world." Jehovah's Witnesses are no part of this system of things.

I sure dont, and never have. It's funny... well meaning people wish me a Merry Christmas, or ask me if I am ready for the holidays. When I tell them I don't celebrate Christmas, most of them say I'm "lucky", or very smart. This year, I overheard numerous people saying they couldn't wait until it was over, that they were only doing it because of the kids! How sad! I enjoyed getting gifts from my parents all year round because they loved me, not because everyone else was giving gifts and they were pressured into it. I never had to feel disillusioned or lied to because I found out there was no Santa Clause!

Interestingly, Christmastime is the time of year with the highest suicide rate. I certainly appreciate that many do enjoy the holiday season, and I don't criticize them for making that choice. However, in my observations, there is a great number of people who do not have good feelings about this time of year, regardless of their religion.

I remember seeing kids at school get truly angry and hateful because they didn't get what they wanted. Jesus never encouraged that kind of greed and materialism. He certainly can't be very happy about all of that going on "in his name", in celebration of a holiday that he didn't ask his followers to celebrate.

Not at all. I can't feel left out of what i never had. I always got toys year round when i was little. I never had to wait to get presents or to have people show genuine kindness and compassion towards each other, I get that in my congregation and in my home. We don't have to wait until Christmas to be brotherly to each other. That is something that is suppose to come with being a Christian.

No, not at all. I haven't felt left out ever, really, not even growing up as a kid watching all the other kids celebrate this stuff. I'd always enjoyed receiving gifts from my parents year-round, for any and whatever reason. There's never been a need to wait stupidly for one single day of the year (or two, for those who celebrate birthdays) in order to get or give gifts.

If anything, I feel sorry for people who've been blinded by Satan into thinking that Christmas is something acceptable to participate in.

Not at all. In fact, we are happy knowing we are not involved in a pagan oriented holiday--one that neither Jehovah or his Son approve of. We enjoy giving gifts all year, not on certain days only. We avoid the drunkeness that occurs at many Christmas parties and and the greediness and materialism shown this time of year. We avoid lying to our children about Santa. We know that liars will not inherit God's Kingdom.
Neither will greedy persons nor drunkards inherit everlasting life. Do you think Jesus is pleased with a day people think is associated with him that promotes such terrible things? Certainly not !!!

To be honest with you, no. I can make extravagant in-front-of-my-house displays and get presents at any other time of the year. Besides, as a JW I'm already criticized enough, so a little more won't hurt.

No I do not. Many people must think that we do, for we see this question a lot. There is no reason for me to feel left out. In fact, I have no problem with this time of year. I do not feel left out because I know Christmas is a lie and is full-blowen pagan.

No, Why would I feel left out?

Thank you for your question...
I do not feel envy for those who celebrate their own customs and beliefs...
I am very comfortable knowing the truth about Jesus...

I like knowing he is a very powerful king...
I feel no envy for others who choose ignore to the truth...

Considering the pagan origins of Christmas and the dishonor and contempt Christmas shows for Christ our Lord,
I cannot in the slightest feel left out...

I mean you no malice... but an honest question deserves an honest answer...

Journey Well...

Nope, not at all!!!
Promise!!
Actually, I wonder why others don't join us... I don't know HOW anyone can afford it all...

we save a load of money, because we can give presents at any other time of the year, like when it suits us!

I have acquantinces that say they are having a "Jehovah's Witness Christmas" this year... meaning, they don't have any money, so they are not celebrating. They are saying it is jest, but I feel sorry for ones who are COMPELLED to spend all their funds .
Below talks about having the Christmas Spirit all year round.
