You can't make her like you instead of your friend, so if you want to save yourself a lot of heartache, then work on detaching yourself emotionally and move on.

You did not give enough information to adequately offer you a sound advice. Based on what you wrote though , it appears that there is nothing you can do but gracefully bow out and leave the way clear for your best friend. This girl has chosen him and you have no other option no matter how much you like her. However, If she knew of your interest in her before choosing your friend, or if your best friend knew of your interest in her, then I will wonder about the both of them. In any case, go about your life.

you want to just do your best to make your feelings known, and if she doesnt take the hint, then tell her. if she doesnt feel the same way about you, then she's not the right girl for you. good luck =]

well ask her maybe if she likes you, or depending how old you are, it shouldn't matter, but if it gets to the point where your seriouslt pissed off, either..
1: get a new girl, theres tons out there (i remember reading the newspaper and it said there are 51% girls of population and 49% of guys, so you have lots to choose from
2: try and ask her, and if she will be your friend but not girlfriend, be nice to her, that happenes in my grade, a girl will go out with someone for about 1 month, and they will brake up easily, act yourself and perhaps she will like you.

Tough one indeed.I ended up marring my wife(B/F) but it was weird. You totally start off as good friends then something just happens. YOU MUST KNOW THIS=you need to know if she/he feels the same way if not you'll get hurt. Be honest and ask how they feel in return.Good luck.

does your friend like her? If so, back off her and let your bf have her, that would trully make you a good friend. If he doesnt like her, have him tell her he doesnt like her.

Tell her he's gay. No not really, just tell her how you feel. Girls are pretty nice about listening to feelings.
