I do not know about other countries, but the worlds largest population group practices Buddhism, so I would have to say that whatever the high Holidays of the Buddist faith are - that is your answer.

In the United States, I believe that Order of Most Celebrated Holidays is :

New Years Eve
Christmas / Hanneuka/ Kwansa
Thanksgiving
Halloween
The 4th of July
Easter
Labor Day
Memorial Day
St. Patrick's Day

Following that are a number of Federal Holidays such as Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Columbus Day, Inauguration Day, Good Friday, Armed Forces Day, Flag Day, Veterans Day, Arbor Day - etc.

I love the thought. Here in Japan most people have to work though, and they don't really understand what it's all about. People think it's a romantic affair so couples spend the evening together. And for Christmas day people order strawberry cakes!

But last night I went to a service in the centre of Tokyo where Americans and Japanese shared their faith in Jesus Christ and celebrated his love and light by lighting candles. Was awesome, especially if you consider that we were sharing our faith with people all over the world!

I believe that is correct....after those two, would come Easter!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
PS: If this question really came from Olivia Newton-John....congrats on your GORGEOUS performance at the Rogers Theater for the President recently. I had not heard your outstanding voice in so long, it was good to see and hear you again.....hope you will keep it up!
