I have:

- Windows XP
- Office 2003 and i mainly use Microsoft Word 2003.

I want to make a guide example: "Internet"

Where you have a nice heading and a table content on its first page:

a. what is internet
b. origins of the internet
etc........

Now if you click on "a. what is internet" it should direct you straight to where you will have that information on a different page or down the page.

My question: Can somebody give me or list websites that can show how to do that with Microsoft Word 2003 or what programs do i need to do that?

for example:

page1. is table of content n you click on "a. what is internet" and it goes to page 2 or down the page where the information about "what is internet" is. but i have already have all the information as saved as microsoft word 2003.

Yes, you want to insert a hyperlink to a location in the current document. You can read all about it in Word help. Just type Create Hyperlink in the help window, then follow the Create hyperlink topic.

You will be creating bookmarks at the information location, then create a hyperlink to the bookmark. Here's the quick rundown:

1. Insert a bookmark at the location you want to go to.

2. Select the text or object you want to display as the hyperlink.

3. On the Standard toolbar, click Insert Hyperlink .

4. Under Link to, click Place in This Document.

5. In the list, select the heading or bookmark you want to link to.

A Table of Contents with hyperlinks is simple. These instructions are for Word 2002 (XP) and probably adjacent versions

1.Go to the point where you want the TOC to be, usually right before the first page.
2.Click on the Insert->Field menu item.
3.Scroll down to TOC and select it.
4.Click OK.
5.This will insert a table of contents field in your document, but since you don't have any entries, you'll see this message:

Error! No table of contents entries found.

Not to worry. To make entries, you'll have to use Heading styles. Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3 are by default collected for the Table of contents, but you can play around and get others also. There's also a way of putting in entries that aren't flagged by style.

The Table of Contents also doesn't continually update itself. You have to tell it to whenever you want it to:

1.Right click in the table and select Update Field.
2.An Update Table of Contents dialog box will appear.
3.Click the Update Entire Field button.
4.Click OK.

Hope that helps.
