When a Christian, or anyone for that matter, wishes a person Merry Christmas and says it with sincerity from the heart there is absolutely nothing wrong doing so any more than if I were to say Happy Birthday to someone who is having a birthday. It's just a greeting and anyone who takes offense to a friendly greeting like this should move to a communist country where Christianity and any expression thereof is against the law.
P.S. Merry CHRISTmas!

I'm having a Christmas tho it may not be "Merry" because Christmas has been VERY commercialized over the past few years (this year being the worst, next year might be even worse than this year). It is the greed of the corporations that prey upon the consumers so they could have every bit of those electronic gizmos that nobody can figure out to make them work properly.
I do wonder whatever happened to those days when Christmas was supposed to be simple.

I've noticed, particularly on this forum, that there are people who will state that the only ones offended are those who are having to say "happy holidays." Somehow, it's now twisted around (yet again) to make the CHristians look like we're being unreasonable.
I think it's perfectly appropriate to say Merry Christmas. And if a person that celebrates Yule instead wants to say Yuletide Greetings, that's fine with me, too. I take it that each of us can celebrate whatever holiday they want.
But I think that the vast majority of people celebrate Merry Christmas.

Say that they don't celebrate Christmas, because it is a pagan festival and not Jesus birthday.
Say they are muslim and don't recognize Jesus birthday as such. Or Jewish and do not feel Jesus is the messiah?
Or an athesist who doesn't believe in God.
should they be subjected to your merry Christmas because that is what you want to do. some how I feel that is selfish.
I think you should consider other peoples feelings.
Why do Christians feel they have the right to make others say what they want and do what they want. Is that kind of controlling? We have to call an evergreen a Christmas tree?
We have to say Merry Christmas? We have to go along with exchangeing gifts at work? Why because Christians say we have to do that. That just seems selfish.

Of course not. No more wrong than anyone of any faith wishing their version of happy holidays or holy days to others.
Merry Christmas.

It is not wrong but you may offend those who are not Christians, i.e. the Jews who celebrate Hannukah, the blacks who celebrate Kwanzaa, the Muslims who celebrate Eid Ul Adha. That is why many say, Happy Holidays instead.

No, it's not wrong if you're sure they are Christian. If you
have doubts, it is better to err on the side of Have a Happy Holiday.
