My friend you definitely need some classes in photography.

Exactly what "professional" Canon did you buy? That information is needed if you expect any useful answers.

What you heard about "... flower-shaped ones..." refers to the lens hood used for ultra wide-angle lenses. The lens hood is "cut out" on the diagonal so it doesn't interfere with the angle of view of the lens. (The angle of view of a lens is measured across the diagonal of the film or sensor, not side to side.)

More information from you is needed before anyone can give you an intelligent answer to this question. Is your camera a film or a digital camera? If it is a is a digital camera, is it an ES-1 or an ES 5 series camera. If it is none of the above, you need to let us know what model it is. A description of the kinds of pictures you want to take would also help in answering your questions.

I feel 35mm sensor might be complete body dslr(professional dslrs.) But the insurgent has a crop one million.6x sensor i feel(multiply that to the lens, its inexpensive to provide a crop sensor in comparison to a whole body, thats why complete body sensors are in authentic cameras). I'm now not a informed in terms of technicalities, however i feel the lens that might include it 18-55mm(no less than that got here with my eos) might be round 35mm.. so at 22mm at the lens(x1.6)=35.2mm... btw is the 58mm lens you are speaking approximately, the filter out dimension? Cause the 18-55mm has a 58mm filter out dimension. I can not relatively support, however expectantly i helped a bit. And the insurgent is a well digicam, i've canon 550d(T2i), however even the older models are nonetheless well, its most commonly the lens that issues such a lot. Edit: So i dont feel the sensor issues on your case, seeing that many "professionals" use crop sensors as good. And the 18-55mm lens might be round 35mm that's required (at 22mm to your lens).
