I got no response when I thought about how awesome it would be to have a platypus-human hybrid with super powers as a wife.
Your theory is destroyed.

There are no unique thoughts, theres just thoughts that only a few million others have. And no one today can hear God, if someone says they do, they are lying. God doesn't speak directly to us anymore, after Jesus died and resurrected, he sent the Holy Spirit to help guide us and show us whats right and wrong. God no longer speaks to us, but the Holy Spirit is what guides us.

More people than you can imagine hear from God. If you have a personal relationship with God than you will hear from Him. Spend time in prayer and in His Holy Word the Bible and He will speak to you in ways that you cannot imagine.

or more likely, god isn't interested in our thoughts.
..after all, didn't god put together a grand-master plan many moons ago. Since god knows more than the rest of us combined, we couldn't possibly offer god knowledge that he/she/it doesn't already have.
Thus, your prayer (begging request) is of no use to god. God already had everything all figured out, long before you made your request.
What would you have god do, change his/her/its perfect plan based on your misguided whims.
As George Carlin says, 'What's the point of being god, if any run-down schmuck with a $2 prayer book can screw up your plans?'

Two protons expelled at each coupling site creates the mode of force, the embryo becomes a fish that we don't enter until a plate, we're here to experience evolve the little toe, atrophy, don't ask me how I'll be dead in a thousand light years, thank you, thank you. Genesis turns to its source, reduction occurs stepwise though the essence is all one. End of line. FTL system check, diagnostic functions within parameters repeats the harlequin the agony exquisite, the colors run the path of ashes, fifty-two percent of heat exchange cross-collateralized with hyper-dimensional matrix, upper senses, repair ordered relay to zero zero zero zero

God answers prayer in His own way and time. It isn't always what we want to hear. He doesn't give you a new car because you want one, for instance. You need to pray for wisdom and guidance to solve your problems. He will provide the answer. Merry Christmas!

Like Anna said, God answers prayers, but in His own way, not necessarily the way we wish them answered.
