Well, it's a little late now, but I was joking.
Here's the requested smiley face to prove it ===> :)
I was lampooning this guy "mainworry." I'll paste his questions in a second.

Yes, in a true democracy, everybody has a right to conform!
(Next time, please add a smiley-face, so that people realize you're just joking.)
Whew! Thanks for the smiley-face. It restores my belief that there is intelligent life in the universe.
The questions you linked have all been deleted. Probably no great loss.

A "real american" believes in freedom of choice, freedom of speech, religion and so on. Apparently you didn't consider the fact that by asking this question you are questioning your own place as an american. There once was (and still is) an slogan that says "America-Love It Or Leave IT" Guess what? I love america and I left it-many times to defend the principles that make us Americans. I have been shot at and missed-and shot at and hit, and I still believe in the constitution and what it stands for. This country is not always what we want it to be- What WE want it to be-WE should be dictating what goes on in our country. But there are some "
americans" who can't even tell me what voting district they are in. True Americans don't question others view points-they may disagree with them, debate them or argue them-but all are entitled to their opinion and BELIEFS-good, bad, or indifferent.

They have a brain. Have you ever thought a) there are more religions out there than just christinaity and b) converting christian just to conform is the most stupid thing to do ever, why do something just to fit in with arrogant people like you.
Why don't you just conform and stop staring at a book all the time!

Are you serious with this question? Are you actually saying that you want to force people to convert to a religion? Where is the freedom in forcing someone to do something or be something that they are not?
Please go read a book about American history. You'll find your answer there.

Why would you ask such an unbelievably ignorant question?
Christianity is not at all freedom and demorcracy.
There are so many countries that have democracys and are free...but aren't mainly christian. (Jerusalem)
Besides, this country was based on religious tolorance and other freedoms (Although to become totoally free, it took some time...but thats another matter)
How can you say to be a real american, you have to be christian?

Converting to conform is against the foundation of Liberty you are claiming to defend. To be a real free and democratic society individuality has to be both encouraged and fostered. Have a wonderful day.

Actually, I think they probably hate the thought of a lobotomy.
Edit: Sheesh, I'm so glad that Angeltress was here to tell us that this is a case of sarcasm.
Almost a pity that it's actually irony.

Yeah, I hate it so bad I decided to spend 7 years in the Army. Protecting your sorry asses right to talk about things that you don't know.
I will never consider even the possibility of forcing myself to swallow the fairy tales that you are peddling.

Because they're just not stupid. Conformity isn't necessarily smart, didn't your mum ever say something like "well if everybody else went and jumped off a bridge would you?"
