On the EMD SD45-2, many were made with a 5,000 gallon diesel tank, since this took up room where the air reservoirs were once place, where were they located on this model?

On all of the pictures I have looked at, the air tanks are located below the walkways, above the fuel tank.

The AT&SF and SP SD45-2 did not have 5000 gallon tanks - which ones did?

Nigel is right.

The main reservoirs are located on both sides of the locomotive above the fuel tank.

The high capacity fuel tanks were made longer, not higher, so they did not affect the location of main reservoirs.

Nigel is right again with the SP info. We ran with 4,200 gallon tanks.
