Do you think people living in lands that are suitable for agriculture should have a predominantly meat diet and feed all the grain to animals when the same could feed many humans? Is that not gluttony even if you are not fat?
Yes, man has dominion over other life but why can't we look at it as watching over it rather than just plundering it for our needs! This world is a closed system. We have to maintain a balance! People living in deserted areas maynot have much choice other than meat but people on fertile lands do!

Is this kind of gluttony not a crime against other humans who die of starvation because the west would rather feed their grain to the cows!

Fruitcake you should visit a poor country sometime and see the quality of grain sent to people, to humans! USA feeds better grain than that to it's cattle for meat production!

Guitar what has been said applies to Indians too and they do their part being an agricultural society! Do you well to worry about africans! Mr. Singh is fine and Indians will take care of their own. The reason so many people are alive and not starving to death in India is because of a majority vegetarian population!

a predominantly meat diet could not support such a huge population! The poor you see are poor because India is not industrialised enough yet. They are not starving!

The 'Seven Deadly Sins' aren't part of Christian doctrine, they were named in an essay written by someone several hundred years after the Bible. Pope Gregory and Dante popularized the notion in the 6th century.

This is what happens when you live in a land of abundance. We cant always expect our leaders to even out things in the way that we see them. And then again we also cant allow ourselves to place rules on how much meat we can eat compared to what others eat in other parts of the world. If I am walking down a wheat field in Minnesota, please dont tell me that I cant eat a hot dog if I want. As far as the starving people in India, if they would stop worshiping there cows and start feeding their people some beef, that could help out allot. They have plenty of rice and grain but most of their meat is believed to be a relative. Should I stop eating meat because Mr. Sing doesn't want to take a chance on eating Aunt Clara? Also if they are having problems with their grain supply, it is probably the rats that they worship are eating them out of house and home.

gluttony is over indulgance of food, drink, or intoxicants or withholding from the needy.
a lot of people dont know about the second part. basically every single person in the world that isn't starving is guilty of gluttony, so yea it would be considered a small sin to people since almost every single person is guilty of it and people don't like to admit their faults.

in response to your additional note... the west is helping the best they can, it's not that they would rather feed their cows then starving people, basically put the west isn't a individual person, the west have to make sure they survive before thinking about helping others.

It's not as simple and cut and dry as that.
The west sends plenty of grain to starving nations and would send even more if the gov'ts over there allowed it. Most are corrupt and that is the reason their people are starving.
