And is it a sin for her to wear a swimsuit? Some preachers say it is because of a verse about "a woman shall not wear that which pertaineth to a man." Is it a sin?

Churches have become clubs. "You can`t be in my club if you wear make up" , " you can`t be part of my club, If you eat meat on Fridays" , "You can`t be in my club if you have long hair and a tattoo". They have so lost contact with God it is amazing.

He doesn`t care what you wear or don`t wear. He made us naked. Clothing is part of the earth. Not spiritual.. God does NOT care if we wear pants, shorts, dresses, shirts, skirts, or sandals or tennis shoes.. Jewelry or makeup..

God is NOT Catholic, Or Baptist or Methodist. He doesn`t care what club you belong to. He cares about your essence (your inner person).. He love you and wants to have a personal relationship with YOU.. He doesn`t need you to be perfect. He never asked for perfection.. He just asks that you love him and believe Jesus lived and died to cover your sins.. That is it, in a nutshell..

Its a sin for 2 reasons. A woman shouldn't wear that which pertains to men. But also its a matter of modesty. A pair of pants,shorts, or a swimsuit shows their bosom,thighs,hips, and bottom. Its not a matter of constraint but protection. God wants us to protect us. But we should also be modest.And shield our bodies. Revealing them only to our husbands in private.I Tim. 2:8-10,I Peter 3:3-5, I John 2:16, Deut. 22:5. God Bless and have a very Merry Christmas!

There are some very extreme Conservative Christian sects that believe that women should not wear pants, jean, or shorts. The one sect I now about will not allow women to cut their hair. However most Churches are fine with women having on pants. I wear them to Church often. Most of the women wear pants to services. My Church is baptist and is Conservative in most ways, but clothing no so much.

I live in Hawaii and some of the young girls wear shorts to church, and we have no problem with that. They are still "modest" as it is their actions and their heart that are important. Try taking jeans and slacks from me and you'd have a real fight on your hands.

Maybe depends on shape. Seriously, that text is widely understood to refer to "warrior" as in soldier, rather than "man". I think modesty is the key here. It would depend on why,. and what was being done. Most female attire of today falls far from the "modest" range.

Where in the Bible is it written that "slacks, jeans and shorts" were male attire only? And since when to swimsuits qualify as "pertaining to men"? If your god condemns you because of your fashion sense, perhaps it's time to pick a better god.

No its not sin.. A woman should dress modestly. They dont have to be half naked to be attractive.
