so, me and this guy starting dating at the beginning of the month. he is a great and wonderful guy, but he is not ready to commit to just dating me, which i understand. but I have never been one to see more than one guy at a time (not even talking to another guy)..i don't want to invest my all until i know he is, but i don't know how long that will be and if it will ever be..i don't want my time wasted, yet i truely like him, but i know i will be hurt and get jealous until if and when he does just become me...i really just don't know what to do. i think to myself, well, i should keep my options open to and talk and meet other guys, but it sucks bcs once i like someone as much as i do him, then i really don't give others a chance.... i know patience is a virtue but....someone, tell me what i should do, please.....

I don't get this dating only one guy when the guy doesn't want to date only you.
You should be able to see other guys if and until he is ready to date only you. If you aren't able to do this then you need to stop seeing him and move on to someone else, because there is no guarantee that he will choose you when he's ready to date only one girl.

Tell him how you feel. Tell him that you really like him and that you don't want anybody else. That should let him know what he's got.
Now, think about yourself and what you're worth.
Are you worth so little as a bottle of gin to be opened whenever the fancy strikes him?
Are you willing to be put on a shelf with a sticker on your forehead that reads "to be used in case of..." ??
I don't need to tell you either way.
He's not ready to be serious and although you really like him he doesn't seem to like you as much as you do.
Think about that other boy whom you didn't like as much. Now you feel like him.

You have only been seeing this guy for under a month. Talk to him and ask him how he feels about you. Maybe he wants to take things slowly, maybe............... maybe...............
You will only know by talking to him.

NO, don't stick around, he already told you where he stands. You stated where you stand. Move on, he's not that into you.
